When Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds announced their engagement in 2008, it seemed like an A-Lister match made in Hollywood heaven, akin to the beautiful pairing of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. Unfortunately, like Brad and Jen, the celebrity union didn’t last and after three years of marriage, Scarlett and Ryan filed for divorce.
A little over six months after finalizing their divorce, the couple has cut another tie to their marriage and placed their Los Angeles home on the Los Feliz real estate market for $3.65 million.
Named the “Wong House,” Scarlett and Ryan’s home is a classic mid-century modern home designed by Buff & Hensman in 1969. Perched on nearly half an acre, the glass-walled home features sprawling views of the city below. Typical of an outdoor California lifestyle, the home’s enormous living areas open out to spacious decks, a salt-water pool, and grassy yard.
Like any prime piece of celebrity real estate, the home is completely private, hidden behind large gates and under video surveillance.
According to property listings, Scarlett and Ryan purchased the home for $2.9 million in August 2010. The eco-friendly pair renovated much of the home, updating the property with green amenities like solar power.
According to Zillow’s mortgage payment calculator, a monthly payment on Scarlett and Ryan’s home would be $13,396 assuming a 20 percent down payment on a 30-year mortgage.

Scarlett Johansson appears to have lured another lucky man into her web – and this time he’s a British rocker.
So step forward Tribes guitarist Dan “Skywizard” White who has been stepping out with the actress for the past few weeks.
And from what I hear the pair are quite smitten and both see the relationship going the distance.
Friends in London town can barely believe that Dan’s managed to pull the gorgeous Hollywood A-Lister – and he’s been the talk of their Facebook walls.
My impeccable source tells me: “They met in London recently. Scarlett was shooting the film Under The Skin in the UK and they were introduced at a club night in town.
“They got on like a house on fire and Scarlett was into his band’s music. There was an instant connection. They’ve been seeing each other for a good few weeks. Dan’s proper happy about it – and what guy wouldn’t be? He already thinks the world of Scarlett.”
But let’s hope the fling lasts longer than some of Scarlett’s previous recent ones.
Since splitting from her husband Ryan Reynolds in July, the actress, 27, has been linked to a string of men.
Following her marriage breakdown she was said to be enjoying time with veteran actor Sean Penn. In September it was Bradley Cooper. Then there was a story about her and Justin Timberlake.
At the end of September it emerged actor Kieran Culkin might be Scarlett’s new beau. Scarlett and Kieran (brother of Home Alone star Macaulay) were spotted in Paris enjoying a romantic stroll along the Champs-Élysées.
Then in October she was linked to 50/50 actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt and recently she was “dating” Kate Moss’ ex-boytoy Jefferson Hack.
Anyway, my source says Dan – part of the four-piece band from Camden – is definitely the man right now and they’re preparing to give things a go.
“Dan thinks she’s an amazing girl,” says my source. “They both have incredibly busy lives but are going to see where things go. Dan’s band Tribes is only just taking off and Scarlett has a lot of work on. So who knows?”

Scarlett Johansson is sick of being referred to as ScarJo.
“Oh, it’s awful,” the “We Bought a Zoo” actress complains to USA Today. “It’s a laziness. People can’t actually say the whole name? It’s just bizarre … Cate Blanchett is not, like, ‘CaBla?’ Why do I have to get stuck?”
While Johansson doesn’t specify how she feels about ScoJo, an alternate nickname used just as frequently, she does reveal that having an oft-used nickname does have one advantage — it helps her decide if someone yelling her name is a random fan or an actual friend.
“If I hear somebody say [ScarJo], I know I don’t know them at all,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Johansson says that she loves her hometown, New York City.
“The city is very kind to me,” she says. “It wraps its big, warm arms around me and keeps me safe. I feel good here.”
Except when people yell out her nickname on the street.

Scarlett Johansson admits that there is one animal on the set of “We Bought a Zoo” that she could not stand to be around — birds.
“I’m only scared of birds,” she told New York magazine. “Something about wings and beaks and the flapping. I’m terrified of them. That still hasn’t gone away. My uncle is terrified of birds, as well, so it runs in the family.”
Johansson shares that she worried her fear would be an issue while filming her new movie.
“If they’d asked me to put a bird on my shoulder I would’ve done it, but it would’ve been hard,” she said, sharing that she was even terrified of being in the proximity of peacocks on set. “I was terrified of them. Like, ‘Ahh, don’t get too close.’ They’re like, mean.”
Johansson’s words come just days after she made fun of co-star Matt Damon at the New York premiere of the film for being exceptionally freaked out by snakes. She said that Damon cried when he had to interact with a slithery snake.
Johansson said, “He was definitely sweating a bit, and maybe the sweat formed in the corner of his eye. I said, ‘Matt, these kids are practically juggling the snakes. Hold it together.’”
“I’m afraid of snakes,” Damon admitted. “And I got bullied into interacting with them by Scarlett and the kids.”
Nudging her toward a cockatoo would have been the perfect revenge.

SCARLETT Johansson is getting political.
The actress is trying to help politician Scott Stringer become the mayor of New York.
“I hope to get the Broadway community involved in this campaign,” Johansson told New York Post gossip column Page Six.
“Scott has always been an advocate for the arts and culture. People that are involved in the arts obviously have a vested interest in who is our next mayor … [and] allowing arts programs to be accessible to New Yorkers in the sense that it’s affordable for communities. We have a vested interest in that it’s our own private community as the entertainment industry.”
Meanwhile, Scarlett is proving to be just as formidable as her Black Widow character on the Avengers set.
According to reports, Scarlett as apparently been demanding more action in the comic book movie which sees her kick-ass character reunited with Iron Man as well as other Marvel heroes including Captain America, Thor and Hulk.
“Scarlett is making a point of not being the token woman in the movie,” reports a source on the set.
“She has had extra action scenes already but is still wanting more. She’s also been very reluctant to have her character be a love interest for the male heroes. Scarlett wants Black Widow to be on a level with the guys if not even more super!”

Scarlett Johansson‘s speaking out about her nude photos that landed on the Internet earlier this month, and unsurprisingly, she’s not happy. “Just because you’re in the spotlight, or just because you’re an actor or make films or whatever doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to your own personal privacy,” she told CNN about the illegal phone hacking scandal that leaked nude photos of her to the world on Sept. 14. “If that is sieged in some way, it feels unjust. It feels wrong.” Johansson’s lawyer acted swiftly when the photos appeared online, threatening to sue sites that posted the pictures. Johansson, 26, has never appeared nude in any of her films. She told CNN that dealing with the unwanted attention that comes with celebrity status has been “an adjustment.” “It’s an adjustment, but there are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and then finally you just have to kind of put your foot down and say, ‘No, wait, I’m taking it back,’” she said.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were reunited last night through the power of rock!
The couple, who split in December after three years of marriage, was spotted together taking at Radiohead’s concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, according to Us Weekly.
The former couple might have enjoyed the show together, but is this a sign of a reconciliation between the stars?
“Ryan and Scarlett came in together right before show started and just watched, rocked out and left together,” a source told the mag. “They just seemed like good friends.”
Since his split with Scarlett, rumors have swirled surrounding Ryan’s love life. Reports have linked him to Olivia Wilde and Charlize Theron.
In August, Ryan was spotted hiking with friend and former co-star Sandra Bullock and her son Louis in Wyoming.

The Jewish Scarlett Johansson is standing by her Jewish man – that man being not actor Justin Bartha, but rather Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer. The 26-year-old actress and singer is putting her celebrity weight behind Stringer’s bid for mayor of New York in 2013.
Observer.com’s Politicker NY reports that Johansson has said she has had enough of life in New York under Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and looks forward to the kind of city she thinks it will be when – not if – Stringer is at the helm.
The actress views Stringer as environmentally aware and the type of leader who would invest in making the city more affordable and accessible for people. “Growing up, all my friends lived in affordable housing, which is something that I want to fight to get back,” said Johansson, a native New Yorker. “Scott’s been a big advocate of affordable housing. I want my friends back in the city. So I believe in Scott,” she was quoted as saying.
Johansson is putting her money where her mouth is. She has pledged the maximum $4950 contribution, is helping to plan an October campaign kick-off party, and has promised to enlist friends and get the vote out for the candidate.
The 51-year-old Stringer has been Manhattan Borough President since 2006. Prior to his current position, he served as a Member of the New York State Assembly from the 67th district on the West Side of Manhattan for 12 years.
The actress’s family’s has had ties to Stringer over the years, with her brother Hunter currently working for the campaign, and her grandmother having fought in the 1980’s alongside the now-mayoral candidate for more Mitchell-Lama affordable housing.
It’s not clear whether Johansson is planning to release an official public relations consultant-vetted endorsement statement. In the meantime, we’ll just go on what she’s had to say so far: “I love Scott. He’s so the right guy for the job…He’s an awesome guy.”
Scarlett Johansson has said working on The Avengers felt like making her own little spin-off film.
The Lost In Translation star plays Black Widow in Joss Whedon’s comic book movie The Avengers with an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L Jackson and Mark Ruffalo.
Scarlett revealed to Collider.com: “It’s a different process to going all the way through. I don’t know if it’s better or worse… We all feel like we’re doing our own little movies.”
She added: “It’s something strange about coming into work and then having little chunks of time off.
“Or stuff when we’re learning fights and nobody else is there and you come back to work.”
Hurt Locker star Jeremy, who plays Hawkeye, admitted he’d like to have more time working with the rest of the cast.
He said: “It makes it pretty separate. That’s something I don’t like because everybody has their own thing going on. I get to work with Scarlett a lot which is great. But otherwise I’ve seen Downey twice on the entire shoot.”
Jeremy insisted he hadn’t thought about starring in a spin-off movie, but admitted he’d like to.
“It’s so far in the future,” he said. “This film isn’t even in the can yet, let alone any sort of spin-off and that requires a lot of success in a lot of different ways.
“But the possibility is probably there, yes.”
